Hello!

I’m Claire, the quilt pattern designer behind Namaju Quilt Studio. I live with my family in the North of France.

I started to learn sewing and knitting with a good friend about 20 years ago. I sewed a lot of clothes for my children and me. I have always had a passion for fabrics and yarns.

In 2021, I discovered modern quilting, looking for a homemade gift idea for a newborn. Since then, I can’t stop! Very quickly, I started creating my own patterns and took the training “Pattern Writing Academy” by Amber Elliot @alderwoodstudio, to learn the technical part of writing.

I love to create simple and airy modern quilt patterns, inspired by nature or emotions. Creating brings so much energy and well-being!

When I was young, I was a professional dancer and I have kept a great interest in aesthetics. I love pure and beautiful lines, and curves as they create a sense of movement. I like playing with shapes and creating harmony between angles and curves.

Quilting is not part of French culture and I hope to be involved in making French people discover and like it more.
